| Topic: Hidden Features in LINQ |
|
Speaker: Timothy Narron
Topic Description:
|
 |
Join Timothy Paul Narron as we start from a simple overview and then explore some of the inner workings on LINQ to objects and the various underlying tools that enable it. LINQ is a great tool in software development but what exactly is it and where does it actually work well in maintainable software architecture? We will walk through a project evolution and explore some of the pros and cons of LINQ on maintenance and performance. We will identify when LINQ can help versus when it can hurt our software and in what ways. Along the way we will refresh ourselves on the key principals of good object oriented design. We will come away with a good understanding of a few new patterns, some great new tricks that go far beyond LINQ and some simple guidelines for effective LINQ usage. As a bonus we will get a simple explanation of Business Analysis concepts and a look at a reusable framework for building custom logic to perform Business Analysis on our own custom business entities. We will explore a lot together in a few hours and have some great fun doing it!

BE HELPFUL. That is the mission statement at teknetex. It is how we add value to the companies that allow us to serve them and to the professionals who trust us with their careers.
We understand that businesses are looking for a talent acquisition partner who does more than just matches acronyms on resumes to job requirements. Our clients need a talent acquisition partner who understands their business, and, as a result, can provide them with the unique and customized solutions they demand.
For us to be successful, it is critical that we learn about our client’s corporate structure, their products, their history, and their future. After all, the human capital solutions we provide will be a part of that history, and we have to get it right. It is not merely an exercise in resume volume to see what sticks, but rather a precisely targeted human capital solution that directly impacts our clients’ business.
Success also means that we understand all we can about the professionals who trust us with their careers. Beyond the requisite functional and technical aptitude, we always know what our candidates want to do – not just what they can do. This can occasionally be a fine line, but it is always a clear line – one that sets us apart.
