CSLA and Silverlight
Are you living in 2001? Are you a slave to some HTML/XHTML standard that was never meant for your application? Walk into the light – the Silverlight. ASP.net, Ajax, and JQuery are all amazingly creative hacks to cope with our HTML crutch. Come to the talk and see why Silverlight is not about rewriting the Flash game Bejeweled, but about writing real business objects (not just Data Transfer Objects) that can run on the client. Animations are cool, but client-side business validation with CSLA and Silverlight is good for your customer and good for your code maintenance.

About Me
Mark Berry enjoys training and consulting on the Microsoft stack. He has been a regular speaker at user groups and code camps. His primary focus over the last ten years has been BizTalk and application integration. Lately he has become enamored with the UI improvements of Silverlight and WPF.
