Topic: Learn How to Build Games with XNA Game Studio 3.0
Speaker: Rob Cameron
Topic Description:     
There is an immense amount of information on the web regarding game development but how do you get started?  This session is geared towards the hobbyist or professional developer who is interested in game development with .NET either as a hobby or for additional income.  In this session the presenter will cover the tools and steps to create games for Xbox Live, the PC, and for Zune music devices as well as provide information on resources available to create great looking and fun games with XNA Game Studio. The session will also touch on the business aspects of game development to help developers understand the overall landscape.
 

Speaker BIO:
Employed by Microsoft since 2001, Rob Cameron is a Industry Architect Evangelist with Microsoft Corporation based out of Atlanta, Georgia.  As part of Microsoft’s Communication Sector Developer & Platform Evangelism team, Rob focuses on development tools and technologies from the server to devices for telecommunications, cable, and media & entertainment companies.  Rob co-authored “Building ASP.NET Server Controls,” “Pro ASP.NET 3.5 Server Controls and AJAX Components,” authored the operations chapter for “Pro BizTalk 2006,” and recently co-authored “Silverlight 2 Recipes.”   He has a master’s degree in information technology management and a bachelor’s degree in computer science.  Visit Rob’s blog at http://blogs.msdn.com/RobCamer.
